- Played on an 8x8 board, dark squares only
- Simple pieces move diagonally forward one square
- Kings move diagonally any distance (flying kings)
- Captures are mandatory and can be forward or backward
- Multi-jump captures must be completed
- Pieces promote to King if they reach the last rank (even during capture)
- Win by capturing all opponent pieces or blocking them
