- 24-card deck (9 through Ace)
- Goal: score 1000 points
- Players bid for the talon in each round
- Declarer takes talon and must score their bid
- Other players score points for tricks taken
- Marriage (King + Queen of same suit) allows declaring trump and scoring points
- At 880 points, player enters 'barrel' and must win in one go
